Position Overview

As a nursing assistant, you will provide routine nursing care following established policies and procedures, under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator, ensuring the highest quality resident care at all times.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a certified nursing assistant.
• At least 6 months of experience as a CNA or clinical experience during certification training.
• Genuine desire to serve the ill, aged, and infirm.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with staff, residents, families, visitors, and the public.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with team members.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and the ability to handle residents at various maturity levels.
• Good general health and emotional stability.
• Ability to work effectively with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, or sometimes hostile individuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as assigned, adhering to facility policies, nursing care procedures, and safety regulations.
• Conduct resident rounds at the start of each shift and every two hours thereafter to provide quality care.
• Verify resident identification before providing care or serving food to ensure correct care.
• Report missing ID bands immediately to the admission coordinator.
• Make beds, clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are clean, filled with fresh water, and within residents' reach.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisors or management.
