Herman N Logistics is seeking a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver for home-daily routes in Southern California. You will haul rail-container freight with no-touch operations, following a Friday-Tuesday schedule and earning strong pay plus a $5,000 bonus.

The role offers about 900 miles weekly, optional 6th day for extra income, and pay increases over time. Valid Class A CDL, clean record, and DOT medical card are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rail-container freight from South Gate ramp/terminal to customers across Southern California.
• Occasional Central Valley deliveries to Bakersfield, Lost Hills, Maricopa, Santa Maria, and San Luis Obispo.
• Operate with no-touch freight; mix of drop/hook and live load/unload.
• Pick up empty containers and return them to the ramp/terminal.
• Adhere to a Friday–Tuesday shift with home daily schedule.

CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver - Good Pay + Bonus | Home Daily

Enjoy home-daily routes , a consistent Friday-Tuesday schedule, and solid pay plus a $5,000 bonus. Haul rail-container freight throughout Southern California with no-touch freight and an optional 6th day for additional income.

Pay Details

$83,000 Average Annual Pay

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,500
• $5,000 bonus
• $3/day increase after 1 year of service
• Additional $3/day yearly increases up to $36/day
• $30 per load for Hazmat loads
• $35 per load for refrigerated loads
• Approximately 900 miles/week

Job Details

• Deliver rail-container freight from the South Gate ramp/terminal to customers throughout Southern California
• Occasional Central Valley deliveries, including Bakersfield, Lost Hills, Maricopa, Santa Maria, and San Luis Obispo
• Mix of drop/hook and live load/unload
• No-touch freight
• Pick up empty containers from receivers and return them to the South Gate ramp/terminal
• Optional 6th day for additional income

Shift Details

• Friday-Tuesday
• Start times: 2 PM-7 PM
• Average 10-12 hour days
• Home Daily
• Thanksgiving and Christmas are optional
• Smoking is not allowed in trucks

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
• Clean driving record
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• No SAP drivers
• Hazmat endorsement not required at hire
• Hazmat endorsement reimbursed if the driver chooses to obtain it
