Salt City Trucking is hiring a Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver to deliver container freight in the Inland Empire and Los Angeles area, with daily home time and a stable daily run.

Auto-dispatch, slip-seat operation, and routes through Long Beach, LA, Commerce, City of Industry, Bloomington, with occasional northward trips to Shafter/Lebec. Expect 3-6 loads per day, detaching/attach, and no hazmat required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 6 months verifiable CDL-A experience.
• Clean driving record and DOT Medical Card.
• Hazmat is not required.

Responsibilities

• Local intermodal container freight in the Inland Empire and Los Angeles area.
• Routes through ramps in Long Beach, Los Angeles, Commerce, City of Industry, and Bloomington.
• 3–6 loads per day with drop & hook, live load/unload, and preloaded freight.

Enjoy daily home time on a local intermodal account serving the Inland Empire and Los Angeles area. Drivers handle container freight across multiple Southern California ramps, with consistent daily work and experienced-driver requirements.

Pay Details

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,400-$1,800
• $19.25 per hour
• $18.71 per stop
• No short-haul pay

Job Details

• Service area includes the Inland Empire and Los Angeles area
• Freight runs through ramps in Long Beach, Los Angeles, Commerce, City of Industry, and Bloomington
• Some routes travel north through the Grapevine to Shafter/Lebec
• Average 3-6 loads per day
• Includes drop & hook, live load, live unload, and preloaded freight
• Auto-dispatch account; drivers do not select routes
• Slip-seat operation
• Trucks parked at the San Bernardino yard
• Up-North deliveries and pickups are part of the account, including required Shafter/Lebec coverage
• No driver-assist loads

Shift Details

• Daily home time
• 10-hour break
• Night shift
• Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday schedules
• Drivers typically run up to their full 11-hour driving window
• Freight demands may require using the full 14-hour clock
