Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking an experienced Local Route CDL A driver to operate tractor-trailer, follow DOT guidelines, and ensure on-time deliveries across the Rocky Mount area. You will conduct inspections, secure cargo, collect signatures, and keep detailed records at each stop.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Current Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• No DUIs in the past 7 years and clean driving record as described.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and DOT medical card requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer in compliance with Company Policies, DOT guidelines and traffic laws.
• Conduct and document pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Secure cargo on trailer and deliver according to manifest and route.
• Assist at customer locations with loading/unloading and securing trailers.
• Obtain customer signatures and report issues to dispatcher promptly.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and professional appearance.
• Attend safety meetings.
