Job summary

Woodgrain, Inc. in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver to safely transport products to customers, adhere to DOT rules, and meet route schedules. This is a physical, day-to-day role requiring attention to detail and safety.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, secure cargo, scan product tags, obtain customer signatures, and maintain clean equipment. The position offers competitive benefits and opportunities for steady, long-term employment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• 18–24 months verifiable tractor trailer experience within past 3 years.
• Over the Road drivers – 2 years verifiable tractor trailer experience within past 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years and no more than 3 in past 7 years.
• No DUIs within past 7 years.
• No reckless driving or leaving the scene in past 3 years.
• No at-fault DOT recordable accidents in past 3 years.
• Current Class A CDL required.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be a good speaker and willing to give presentations.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• SAP experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer according to company policies, DOT guidelines and laws.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and document results.
• Secure cargo on trailer.
• Deliver products per manifest and schedule.
• At customer locations, open/close and secure trailer curtains or doors.
• Scan product tags and visually inspect unloaded product.
• Obtain customer signatures on POD and submit.
• Keep truck/trailer clean and perform basic maintenance.
• Operate on-board recording device and report issues promptly.
• Attend safety meetings and maintain professional appearance.
