The City of Olathe is seeking a dependable full-time CDL driver to operate a recycling or yard waste collection vehicle. The position offers a $4,000 new hire bonus and local routes, with pay ranging from $24.23 to $32.42 per hour, depending on qualifications, plus strong benefits and being home daily.

Requirements include a valid Kansas Class B CDL (air-brake endorsement) with a clean driving record. Prior solid waste/public works experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Class B CDL with air-brake endorsement and favorable driving record required.
• One year of related experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operate a commercial collection truck on assigned recycling or yard waste routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Complete daily route assignments and transport refuse to disposal/recycling facilities.
• Document daily operations and maintain records for the area of responsibility.
• Support safety culture and adhere to safety procedures and regulations.
