Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role.
• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws.
• Strong time management and ability to follow instructions.
• Good physical stamina to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Reliable and punctual with strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely pick up items from designated locations and deliver to specified destinations according to schedules.
• Properly load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secure and protected from damage during transit.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption while meeting deadlines.
• Perform routine inspections of the assigned vehicle and report issues or conduct basic maintenance as needed.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner (delivery manifests, invoices, proof of delivery).
• Maintain organized records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Provide courteous and professional service to customers and communicate effectively about shipments.
• Adhere to regulations and safety standards, including hours of service and handling hazardous materials where applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.
