Job summary

Peninsula Truck Lines in Portland, OR is seeking a full-time Pick-up and Delivery Driver to transport goods safely and efficiently. You will pick up items from suppliers or customers and deliver to designated destinations while following traffic laws and company policies.

You will plan routes, load/unload cargo, complete paperwork, and maintain records. Excellent driving skills and a strong customer-service mindset are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and knowledge of traffic laws.
• Proven delivery driver experience in commercial/logistics settings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable and punctual with good time management.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work varying day/evening/weekend/Holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely pick up items from warehouses, businesses, or residences and deliver to destinations per schedule.
• Load and unload cargo securely, using proper equipment for different goods.
• Plan routes to minimize time and fuel while meeting deadlines.
• Inspect vehicle, report issues, and perform basic maintenance as needed.
• Complete delivery manifests, invoices, and proofs of delivery accurately.
• Maintain organized records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
• Communicate with customers, address questions, and provide courteous service.
• Comply with regulations: hours of service and hazardous materials procedures.
• Support additional duties as assigned.
