Job summary

Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel, Inc. in Springfield, MA is seeking a CDL Class A Local Driver for local haulage. No overnight or weekend shifts, Monday through Friday. Local deliveries of commercial trailers and office trailers, with comprehensive benefits including medical, vision, dental, paid vacation and a 401(k) plan.

You will perform Northeast local deliveries, ensure safe parking of trailers, and comply with DOT/OSHA standards while maintaining professional and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Must have a current CDL Class A license with medical certification.
• Minimum 5 years tractor driving experience with clean record in past 3 years.
• Experience moving a variety of trailers in tight spaces.
• Strong knowledge of safe handling/operation of trailers, tractors, containers and related equipment.
• Professional, motivated, positive, results oriented with strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform local, northeast delivery of all types of trailer equipment.
• Ensure containers and trailers are safely parked at end of each day.

Monday thru Friday, no overnights, or weekends!
Commercial Trailer, Storage Container and Office Trailer deliveries.
No freight, loading or unloading!
Responsibilities:

• Perform local, northeast delivery of all types of trailer equipment.


• Ensure all containers and trailers are safely and securely parked at the end of each day.


• Perform tasks in an efficient, timely, accurate, professional, and safe manner in accordance with all Company polices, DOT, OSHA and other governmental standards and regulations.

Requirements:

• Must have a current CDL Class A license with current medical certification.


• Must have a minimum of 5 years tractor driving experience with no accidents, suspensions or moving violations for past 3 years.


• Must have experience in moving a variety of trailers in tight spaces.


• Must have a strong knowledge regarding the safe handling and operation of, not limited to, trailers, tractors, containers, field offices, oversize offices, forklifts, refrigeration units, and lift gates.


• Must present a professional, highly motivated, positive, results oriented, problem-solving attitude.


• Must have good communication skills.


• Must be able to work independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment.


• Must adhere to all Company policies including safety policies.


• Must pass a standard pre-employment drug test.
