Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking an experienced CDL driver for local Magnolia and surrounding areas. You will operate ADU trucks on route-based assignments, service farms and transport products to rendering facilities, while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

The role requires a valid Class A or B CDL, at least 1 year of driving experience and a good driving record. Expect nights, weekends, and holidays as required, with training pay followed by pay per load.

Qualifications

• CDL driving experience required (1 year minimum).
• Valid Class A or B CDL with acceptable driving record.
• DOT requirements including background, drug screen, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Drive ADU truck on route-oriented basis to farms and renderings facilities.
• Complete assigned route safely and productively.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicle.
• Collaborate with dispatchers to ensure scheduling and communicate routes.
• Follow safety procedures for transporting goods including dangerous materials.
• Read maps and written directions to determine vehicle routes.
• Operate truck equipment and communicate with dispatchers using GPS, CB and phone.
• Complete paperwork and ensure compliance with company policies.
