Job summary

R.P. Lumber Co. in Pontiac, IL is hiring a CDL Driver for local, on-site deliveries of lumber and building materials. You will load, unload, and deliver to customer jobsites, while helping in the yard when not on routes.

This full-time role requires a valid CDL, DOT medical cert, and a clean driving record. You’ll report to the General Manager and work a flexible schedule with safety-first responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL (air-brake endorsement preferred)
• Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate or willingness to obtain one
• Acceptable commercial driving record for prior 60 months
• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to customer jobsites via efficient routes
• Meet delivery schedules and provide professional, courteous service
• Unload or assist with unloading using boom/crane, Moffett, or by hand
• Follow safety rules and monitor jobsite conditions at every stop
• Assist in yard operations, loading and securing materials as needed
