Qualifications

• 1 year driving experience preferred.
• CDL per vehicle type required.
• Road test required.
• Must meet company insurability standards.
• Must meet FMCSA drug/alcohol clearinghouse requirements.
• Must meet driver qualifications per Federal regulations (49 CFR part 391).
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Basic measurement and arithmetic skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles >26,001 lbs to deliver/pick up merchandise to regional/local destinations.
• Drive safely; perform loading/unloading as required.
• Follows safety procedures for securement of cargo (may include tarps).
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections (FMCSA) and maintain roadworthiness.
• Log daily activities with an electronic logging device (ELD).
• Record inspection details and defects per DVIR.
• Read bills of lading and manifests to determine assignment details.
