Job summary

Primoris Heavy Civil seeks experienced CDL Drivers to safely transport materials, equipment, and personnel to and from construction sites in and around Waco, TX. This role supports efficient heavy civil projects and requires strict adherence to DOT regulations.

The ideal candidate has a Class A CDL with endorsements, at least 2 years of verifiable driving experience, and a clean driving record. Responsibilities include inspections, logs, safety compliance, and teamwork with dispatch and site

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements (e.g., air brakes, tanker, hazmat) if required for specific roles.
• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience, preferably in heavy civil or construction.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
• Proficient in pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical labor.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of commercial motor vehicles, including dump trucks, flatbeds, and lowboys, in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Load and unload materials and equipment with proper securing and weight distribution.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects promptly.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and vehicle inspection reports.
• Adhere to traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and supervisors.
• Assist with general labor tasks on construction sites when not driving.
• Maintain cleanliness and good operating condition of assigned vehicles and equipment.
