Job summary

Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Local Driver to move products between our sites and customer locations. You’ll work daytime hours with steady home time, and this 1st Shift role runs 7am-3pm.

We offer weekly pay starting at $27.10 per hour based on experience and benefits effective immediately, including Medical, Dental, Vision and 401k with match. Responsibilities include safe driving, inspections, load security, logs, and coordinating with dispatch and customers.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Clean driving record per DOT standards.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and local traffic laws.
• Ability to operate multiple vehicle types (straight, box, dump).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Independent work and time management.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A CMV in compliance with regulations.
• Deliver materials locally between facilities, warehouses, and customer sites.
• Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Secure loads and protect cargo during transport.
• Maintain driver logs and delivery records.
• Communicate with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers to ensure accuracy.
• Follow safety protocols at loading docks and packaging environments.
• Provide routine vehicle maintenance checks.

Local Drivers help keep everything moving—and our customers happy. In this role, you’ll make sure the right products get where they need to go, safely and on time. You’ll handle local deliveries between our sites and customer locations, playing a big part in keeping our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Drive and deliver materials safely across local routes connecting company facilities, warehouses, and customer sites.
• Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle and cargo to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
• Secure loads using appropriate equipment and ensure cargo is protected during transport.
• Maintain accurate driver logs and other required documentation, including delivery records and fuel usage.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers to ensure delivery accuracy and resolve issues.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including those specific to loading docks, forklifts, and packaging environments.
• Provide routine vehicle maintenance checks and notify appropriate personnel of any mechanical issues.
• Support warehouse operations and assist with loading/unloading as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License required.
• Clean driving record in accordance with company and DOT standards.
• Knowledge of applicable DOT regulations and local traffic laws.
• Ability to operate a variety of commercial vehicles including straight trucks, box trucks, and dump trucks with small trailers.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.

Compensation Statement

The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
