Job summary

Graham Packaging is seeking a Local Driver to support our operations across local routes between facilities and customer sites. This daytime role offers steady hours, home time, and the chance to contribute to reliable on-time deliveries.

The position operates on the 1st Shift, 7am–3pm, with weekly pay starting at $27.10 per hour based on experience. We provide medical, dental, vision, and 401k with match, plus opportunities for growth within a values-based culture.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Clean driving record in accordance with DOT standards.
• Knowledge of applicable DOT regulations and local traffic laws.
• Ability to operate a variety of commercial vehicles including straight trucks, box trucks, and dump trucks with small trailers.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Drive and deliver materials safely across local routes connecting company facilities, warehouses, and customer sites.
• Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle and cargo to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
• Secure loads using appropriate equipment and ensure cargo is protected during transport.
• Maintain accurate driver logs and other required documentation, including delivery records and fuel usage.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers to ensure delivery accuracy and resolve issues.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including those specific to loading docks, forklifts, and packaging environments.
• Provide routine vehicle maintenance checks and notify appropriate personnel of any mechanical issues.
• Support warehouse operations and assist with loading/unloading as needed.

Compensation Statement

The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
