Job summary

Graham Packaging Company in Kentucky seeks a Local Driver to support our operations. You’ll deliver materials safely between company facilities and customer sites, maintain logs, and ensure timely, compliant shipments. This role offers daytime hours, stable schedules, and the chance to positively impact logistics.

This position is scheduled for 1st shift, 7am-3pm, with weekly pay and benefits including medical, dental, vision and 401k with match. High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Clean driving record in line with DOT standards.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and local traffic laws.
• Operate straight trucks, box trucks, dump trucks with small trailers.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle per federal, state and local rules.
• Drive and deliver materials safely across local routes between facilities and client sites.
• Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Secure loads and protect cargo during transport.
• Maintain driver logs and delivery records, including fuel usage.
• Communicate with dispatch, warehouses and customers to ensure accuracy.
• Follow safety protocols at loading docks, forklifts and packaging areas.
• Provide routine vehicle maintenance checks and report issues.
• Support loading/unloading and warehouse operations as needed.

You’ll handle local deliveries between our sites and customer locations, playing a big part in keeping our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Drive and deliver materials safely across local routes connecting company facilities, warehouses, and customer sites.
• Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle and cargo to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
• Secure loads using appropriate equipment and ensure cargo is protected during transport.
• Maintain accurate driver logs and other required documentation, including delivery records and fuel usage.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers to ensure delivery accuracy and resolve issues.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including those specific to loading docks, forklifts, and packaging environments.
• Provide routine vehicle maintenance checks and notify appropriate personnel of any mechanical issues.
• Support warehouse operations and assist with loading/unloading as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License required.

Compensation Statement

The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
