Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking a Local CDL Class A Driver to join our team and go home daily. The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with overtime after 40 hours. You’ll deliver goods locally, operate a 26-foot box truck and tractor-trailer combos, and ensure on-time, safe deliveries.

Qualifications

• 6 months of CDL A experience operating a tractor pulling 53 foot trailers.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks and tractor trailers locally and on public roads.
• Touch freight with pallet jacks to load/unload pallets and equipment.
• Drive safely and follow all policies and procedures.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch.

Pay rates starting at $30.50/hr per hour plus overtime pay available after 40 worked hours per week

About the role

As a CDL Driver, you’ll not only drive our equipment, but you’ll also drive our success! You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily. Y ou will operate a 26-foot box truck as well as a tractor pulling up to 53-foot trailers.

What you’ll do on a typical day

• Drive trucks and tractor trailers in and around the site or on public roads
• Touch freight position using pallet jacks to load and unload pallets and electronic equipment
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices
• Perform routine inspections
• Communicate effectively with dispatch

What you’ll need to succeed at GXO

At a minimum you’ll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A) experience operating a tractor pulling 53 foot trailers, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 18 years old
• A current valid CDL A driver’s license and a safe driving record

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
