We are hiring local CDL Class A Drivers in Tampa, FL. Established in 1978, United Scrap Metal has grown into one of the largest full-service recyclers in the country, committed to providing responsible recycling solutions and making a positive impact on our community.

Job Overview

The primary role of the driver is to pick up, transport, and deliver freight safely and efficiently. The driver reports to the Transportation Manager and is supervised by Dispatchers.

Pay and Benefits

• $24 - $26 per hour, with time and a half after 40 hours
• Health, Dental, and Life Insurance
• Paid vacations and time off
• Two yearly bonuses and a monthly bonus plan
• Work hours: 50-55 hours/week, Monday to Friday, weekends off

Requirements

• At least 2 years of similar industry experience preferred
• Valid Class A driver's license
• Experience in recycling industry, metal identification, van, flatbed, gondola, and roll-off experience a plus
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical, background, credit checks, and all DOT standards
• Stable job history, dependable attendance, and trustworthy references
