Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Knoxville, TN is hiring a Class B Heavy Touch CDL Truck Driver. The role offers weekly pay, 40–50 hours per week, paid training, and a schedule from Monday to Friday. Equipment includes straight trucks with high-touch medical freight, TWIC preferred but not required, and uniforms/boot allowance provided.

You will drive local routes, home daily, and operate safely with company support and growth opportunities, including 401(k) with company match and maternity leave benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL and endorsements.
• 9 months experience in the past 3 years OR 2 years in the past 5 years OR 5 years in the past 10 years.
• Pass Ryder drug test and background check.
• Pass a DOT physical and road test.
• Class A or Class B verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Minimum age 21 years.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight as needed by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
