Silvi Materials is hiring a Concrete Truck Driver in Englishtown, NJ. The role requires operating an 80,000-lb ready-mix truck, performing DOT-compliant inspections, and delivering concrete on schedule.

Applicants should hold a valid CDL-A/B and a DOT Medical Card, pass a DOT physical and drug screen, and be able to start between 12:00 am and 9:00 am. Prior driving experience is preferred, with strong safety and reliability emphasized.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A or CDL-B license and a current DOT Medical Card.
• Must pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• Flexible start times (12:00 am–9:00 am) and daily plant call-ins.
• At least 1 year of driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high quality and safety while ensuring timely, accurate concrete deliveries.
• Operate an 80,000 lbs ready-mix truck per regulations.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT guidelines.
• Load and pour concrete using ladders and chutes; navigate heavy traffic areas.
• Keep delivery, truck and driving records per company and legal requirements.
• Read tickets and communicate with dispatch; report issues.

So what does a Silvi Materials Concrete Mixer driver do?

• Maintain the highest standard of quality and safety while ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of concrete.
• Operate an 80,000 lbs ready-mix truck in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
• Perform pre and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT guidelines; document and request required repairs as needed.
• Load and pour concrete according to procedures involving the use of ladders, main chutes and extension chutes, as well as driving in and out of areas with heavy pedestrian and equipment traffic.
• Maintain delivery, truck and driving records in accordance with company policies, as well as federal and state regulations.
• Read delivery tickets and communicate with dispatch regarding all deliveries.
• Wash residual concrete and materials off and out of all areas of the truck and barrel.

Qualifications Required as a Silvi Materials Driver.

• Must possess a valid commercial driver’s license CDL-A or CDL-B and have a valid DOT Medical Card
• Must pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• Able to work a variable schedule. Start times are anywhere between 12:00 am through 9:00 am. Requires calling in to the plant at 4/5pm daily.
• 1 year of preferred driving expereince

• Determine from which direction a sound came.
• See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
