Job summary

JCSI in Des Plaines, IL is hiring a CDL Driver for the Airport Route serving O’Hare area. This full-time role offers home daily schedules, stable hours, and weekly pay. CDL A or B required with clean driving record and ability to work around airport operations.

You will transport catering equipment and meal carts, follow DOT and TSA safety rules, and coordinate with a Driver Helper to ensure timely flights. Night/weekend shifts available.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B is required.
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience in related roles.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance (SIDA badge with hologram).
• Ability to pass DOT physical, background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Transport catering equipment and meal carts to and from aircraft at O’Hare Airport.
• Safely operate commercial vehicles on airport ramp and between facilities.
• Load and unload carts, carriers, and equipment.
• Work with Driver Helper to ensure flights depart on time.
• Follow all DOT, TSA, and airport safety regulations.
• Maintain on-time performance and strong safety standards.

What You’ll Do

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A or B
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience in transportation, logistics, or similar roles
• Must be able to safely operate vehicles on our airfield (experience driving trucks, vans, or box trucks helpful)
• Strong work ethic and reliability; candidates with stable employment history preferred
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance (SIDA badge with hologram)
• Ability to pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screen
• Flexibility to work assigned shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
