Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable CDL A Truck Driver / Yard Jockey in Lawrence, KS to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for exercising safe and efficient practices when operating equipment, adhering to all federal and state driving regulations. Preferred 1 year of spotting and/or 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely moves and service to our customers and team. Responsibilities and Requirements

• Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, in compliance with all CDL regulations and company guidelines.
• Transport trailers to and from designated locations safely and on time.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections for safety.
• Follow all safety policies, federal, state, and industry regulations.
• Handle equipment and products properly, maintaining quality service.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and incidents.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A
• Proven experience as a CDL A driver with a good driving record
• Current DOT Physical and Medical Card
• Knowledge of federal, state, and industry driving rules
• Ability to handle long hours and various weather conditions
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Physical ability to perform tasks like getting in and out of the truck multiple times per shift
