Job summary

A. Duie Pyle, Inc. is seeking a Local CDL-A Truck Driver to join our team in Southington, CT. This day cab role requires clean driving history and the ability to obtain hazmat and tanker endorsements as needed.

You will perform pickups and deliveries to various customer locations, with lift gate loading/unloading when required, while maintaining FMCSA safety standards and customer relationships. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Hazmat endorsement required to start.
• Tanker endorsement to start or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
• Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience.
• Must hold or obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• No more than three moving violations or accidents in the last three years.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Complete pickups and deliveries to various locations.
• Perform lift gate deliveries and loading/unloading as needed.
• Ensure safety and security of the tractor and freight, following FMCSA rules.
• Build relationships with customers through clear communication.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
