Job summary

A. Duie Pyle is seeking an experienced, motivated full-time Local CDL-A Truck Driver to join our team in Syracuse, New York.

You will operate a day cab tractor with a 48’ or 53’ trailer to complete pickups and deliveries to our LTL customer locations, home daily, Monday-Friday. Qualifying drivers have a valid CDL-A, Hazmat to start, tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain within 90 days, and 1+ year of tractor-trailer experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Hazmat endorsement required to start.
• Tanker endorsement to start or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
• Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience.
• Current DOT medical card (non-excepted interstate).
• Must be at least 21 years old and eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Complete pickups and deliveries to various locations.
• Perform lift gate deliveries and unloading/loading at stops as needed.
• Ensure security and safety of tractor and freight; follow FMCSA safety regs.
• Build relationships through clear communication with customers.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.

CDL-A Truck Driver qualifications:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Hazmat is required to start
• Tanker endorsement to start or willingness to obtain in 90 days
• Minimum 1 year of recent tractor trailer experience
• Currently hold, or obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• No more than three moving violations and or accidents within the last three years, subject to review
• Ability to communicate effectively; must be able to read, write and speak English
• Must be able to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance

  CDL-A Truck Driver responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Completing pick up and deliveries to various location(s)
