Job summary

A. Duie Pyle is seeking an experienced, motivated full-time Local CDL-A Truck Driver for Erie, PA. This role operates a day cab tractor with a 48’ or 53’ trailer for pickups and deliveries to various LTL locations.

Earn $35.50 per hour with weekly pay on Fridays; overtime after 40 hours. Home daily, Monday through Friday, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical/dental/vision and life insurance, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL as a starting requirement.
• Hazmat endorsement required to start.
• Tanker endorsement to start or obtain within 90 days.
• Minimum 1 year of recent tractor trailer experience.
• Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• No more than three moving violations/accidents in 3 years.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Must obtain and maintain TSA security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Complete pickups and deliveries to various locations.
• Perform lift-gate deliveries and unload/load at stops as needed.
• Ensure security and safety of tractor and freight; follow FMCSA safety rules.
• Build relationships through clear communication with customers.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

CDL-A Truck Driver qualifications:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Hazmat is required to start

• Currently hold, or obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older

• Must be able to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance

CDL-A Truck Driver responsibilities include but are not limited to:
