Job summary

TransForce in Paramount, CA is seeking a CDL A port driver for a local route covering Los Angeles and Long Beach. The role involves port deliveries, no-touch freight, and a consistent schedule with a dedicated team supporting operations.

Qualified candidates must have a CDL A, 2+ years of recent port driving experience, and the ability to operate a manual transmission. Hazmat endorsement and clean DOT records strengthen candidacy. Temp-to-hire opportunity with competitive weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A required.
• 2+ years of recent, verifiable CDL driving experience.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred.
• Port driving experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission tractor.
• Clean MVR and compliance with DOT/FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Transport intermodal containers between the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports and local customer locations.
• Complete deliveries throughout Compton, Santa Fe Springs, Whittier, Vernon, Carson, and surrounding areas.
• Haul general freight, household goods, and paper products using manual-transmission equipment.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery paperwork.
• Communicate with dispatch about arrival times, delays, port issues, equipment concerns, and completed deliveries.
