Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. in Kearney, NE is hiring a local CDL Class A P&D city driver to operate pickup and delivery routes between company service centers and meet-and-turn points.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, log trip data with company IT equipment, and ensure cargo is properly secured while complying with DOT rules and safety standards. Shifts vary by business needs and schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Valid DOT medical certificate
• Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples endorsements
• Minimum 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Must complete onboarding process including drug screen, background check, MVR, and PSP review
• Must be 21 years of age

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles safely while complying with state and federal regulations, including hours of service and hazmat requirements
• Meet DOT medical standards and maintain a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report defects
• Record trip information using company IT equipment (ELD, VIR, dispatch)
• Ensure proper cargo securement to prevent damage during transport
• Load, unload, and secure freight as needed
• Maintain communication with dispatch and adhere to scheduling requirements
• Represent the company professionally with customers and team members
• All other duties as assigned
