Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL P&D Truck Driver in California. The role involves intra- and inter-state routes, with loading/unloading and freight handling as needed.

You will meet safety, regulatory, and company standards and operate company IT systems for trip data and dispatch. The position requires a valid Class A CDL, DOT medical certificate, Hazmat/Tanker/Doubles-Ptriples endorsements, and at least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Valid DOT physical
• Endorsements: Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples
• Minimum 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience
• Driving record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Must complete onboarding: drug screening, background check, MVR, PSP
• Successful completion of new-hire training including assessments, driving test, trailer combo test, forklift test
• Minimum age 21

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles safely while complying with state and federal regulations
• Meet DOT medical standards and maintain a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report defects
• Record ELD, VIS, trip, and dispatch information using company IT equipment
• Ensure cargo is properly secured to prevent damage
• Load, unload, and secure freight as required
• Maintain communication with dispatch and adhere to scheduling
• Exhibit professional conduct and represent the company
• Other duties as assigned
