Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, known as a Logistics Specialist II, with or without a Crane Operator, is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites within a maximum of 200 miles from their home branch. Deliveries originate and end at the branch, with no overnight stays required.

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Validate and confirm inventory loaded, compare purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and verify addresses and routing information
• Conduct a job site inspection, document any damage, and note the location of utilities and structures
• Capture pictures of all delivered building products as per company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL
• Ability to load/unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs., experience with forklifts or Moffett is a plus
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & run, DWI, or DUI convictions
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are a plus
• Distribution experience is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Minimum age 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test and hold a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the past 12 months
• U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S., passing an E-Verify check
