Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, known as a Logistics Specialist II (with or without a Crane Operator), is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites within a maximum of 200 miles from the home branch. Deliveries start and end at the branch, with no overnight stays required.

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead on job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Verify and confirm inventory loaded on the truck, comparing purchase orders, signing delivery tickets, and confirming addresses
• Conduct job site inspections, documenting existing damages and noting hazards like power lines, sprinklers, septic tanks, mailboxes, and fences
• Capture photos of all delivered building products as per company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each; forklift or Moffett experience is a plus
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & run, DWI, or DUI convictions within the last three years; severe violations or multiple accidents in the past year will be reviewed
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are advantageous
• Distribution experience is a plus
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test and hold a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the last 12 months
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify check
