Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Logistics Specialist II, with or without a Crane Operator certification, is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites within a 200-mile radius of the home branch. All deliveries originate and end at the branch, with no overnight stays required.

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment in accordance with local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Verify and confirm loaded inventory, compare purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and ensure accurate routing information
• Conduct site inspections, document existing damages, and identify potential hazards such as power lines, sprinklers, septic tanks, mailboxes, and fences
• Capture photos of all delivered building products as per company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building materials weighing up to 100 lbs., with forklift or Moffett experience a plus
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & run, DWI, or DUI convictions; accidents or violations reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations preferred
• Experience in distribution is a plus
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test and possess a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the past 12 months
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and pass E-Verify check
