Local CDL A or CDL B Driver

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, referred to as a Logistics Specialist II (with or without a Crane Operator), is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites. Deliveries are within a 200-mile radius of the home branch, with no overnight stays required.

• Operate a commercial vehicle safely in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Verify and confirm loaded inventory, compare with purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and confirm addresses and routing information
• Conduct a job site inspection, document existing damages, and note the location of utilities and other relevant features
• Capture photos of all delivered building products as per company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL
• Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each; forklift or Moffett experience is a plus
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & runs or DWI/DUI convictions within the last three years; severe violations or multiple accidents in the past year will be reviewed
• Experience with distribution and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations is a plus
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test and possess a current DOT medical certificate; no positive drug tests in the past 12 months
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify check
