Job summary

Salt City Trucking is hiring a Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver for the St. Louis area with daily home time.

The role covers freight within a 300-mile radius, hauling containers on chassis with a mix of drop-and-hook, live loads, live unloads, and preloaded freight. Pay includes an average of $1,100+ per week, $0.56 per mile (loaded and empty), $40+ per mile on short runs, and an extra $20 as applicable, paid weekly.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Must be at least 22 years old.
• No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
• No more than 1 DOT-recordable preventable accident in the past 3 years.
• Must meet DOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements.
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently for driving, communication, and required documentation.
• Additional qualifications may apply.

Responsibilities

• Haul containers on chassis in an intermodal operation.
• Operate within a 300-mile radius with daily home time.
• Utilize drop-and-hook, live load/unload, and preloaded freight where applicable.
• Maintain safe driving practices and comply with DOT rules.
• Complete logs and required documentation accurately.
