Salt City Trucking in the St. Louis area is hiring a Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver to haul containers on chassis within a 300‑mile radius.

You’ll work day or night shifts with daily home time and a mix of drop‑and‑hook, live load, live unload, and preloaded freight.This position offers weekly pay around $1,100 on average, with mileage and additional pay opportunities. Must meet DOT requirements, have at least 3 months of verifiable tractor‑trailer experience, and be 22 or older.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Must be at least 22 years old.
• No more than 3 moving violations in 3 years, restrictions may apply.
• No more than 1 DOT‑recordable accident in 3 years.
• Must meet DOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements.
• Ability to read and speak English well for driving and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Local dedicated intermodal operation within a 300‑mile radius.
• Home daily with day and night shifts available.
• Haul containers on chassis with drop‑and‑hook, live load/unload, and preloaded freight.
• Operate in a slip‑seat arrangement and adapt to traffic and weather conditions.

Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver — Good Pay | Home Daily

Join a dedicated intermodal operation in the St. Louis area with daily home time , day and night shift opportunities, and freight operating within a 300-mile radius. Drivers haul containers on chassis with a mix of drop-and-hook, live loads, live unloads, and preloaded freight.

Pay Details

• $1,100 average weekly pay
• $0.56 per mile on loaded and empty miles
• $40 mileage on loads with 1-49 loaded miles
• Additional $20 pay as applicable
• Pay is based on loads completed and paid in increments
• Paid weekly
