Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver for daily home time and a predictable Sunday–Thursday schedule. You will handle container pickups and deliveries between customers and the rail yard around Fort Wayne and Chicago.

Earn an average annual pay of $80,000–$88,000 with a $5,000 bonus and detailed per-load pays for live unloads, drops, hazmat, detentions, and rail delays. Automatic trucks with 11-hour shifts beginning around 3:00 AM apply now.

Earn $80,000–$88,000 average annual gross pay with daily home time, consistent Sunday–Thursday routes, and multiple opportunities to increase your earnings.

Pay Details

• Average Annual Pay: $80,000–$88,000
• Average Weekly Pay: $1,600–$1,750
• $5,000 Bonus
• $56 customer live load/unload
• $28 customer drop/hook
• $15 out-of-route empty move or crosstown drop
• $15/hour rail delay pay after 1 hour
• $20/hour detention pay after 1.5 hours
• $25 per Hazmat load

Job Details

• Local intermodal freight with daily Chicago runs
• Additional local work within a 100-mile radius of Fort Wayne
• Approximately 1,900 miles/week
• Primarily container pickup and delivery between customers and the rail yard
• Day shift: approximately 60% drop/hook and 40% live
• Night shift: approximately 80% drop/hook and 20% live

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience
• Clean driving record
• Valid DOT Medical Card
