Job summary

4th Day Trucking is seeking a Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver to run 150 miles around the regional metro area with 100% no-touch freight. Expect 55–70 hours weekly, night shifts, and daily home time, keeping you in your own bed after every shift.

Weekly pay averages $1,600–$1,800 gross, with $12.50 per stop incentives and ~$24.50 per stop across two stops per load. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card.
• Residency within 25 miles of the dispatch yard.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience ( trainees, team ops, and owner-operators closed on this run ).
• Hazmat Endorsement preferred but not required.
• Solid driving record and mandatory drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Freight Handling: 100% No-Touch Freight (live loads/unloads, preloads, drop-and-hook).
• Running Radius: Within 150-mile radius of yard.
• Common Loops: Regional hub drops including runs into other yards.
• Equipment & Gear: Slip-seat operation driving clean daycabs; containers mounted on chassis at ramp.
• Ramp Operations: Occasional 30–60 minute waits for flips when mounting containers.
