Job summary

Salt City Trucking in Paterson, NJ is hiring a CDL-A Local Grocery Driver to deliver fresh and frozen groceries on a dedicated local account. Earn $85,000-$100,000 per year with daily home time and steady work in the Hudson Valley, Long Island, and NYC area.

Most runs are 2 loads per day or one longer load, with 15+ stops weekly. Requires valid CDL-A, minimum 3 months’ experience, DOT Medical Card, and the ability to complete NYC training before NYC routes.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months verifiable Class A CDL experience
• DOT Medical Card
• No SAP Drivers
• Reliable personal transportation to and from work
• Ability to complete NYC training before operating NYC routes
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver fresh and frozen groceries on a local account
• Serve supermarkets and distribution centers within ~250 miles
• Complete multi-stop loads (15+ stops per week)
• Usually run 2 loads per day or one longer load
• Handle return product or backhaul pickups at the final stop
• Occasional pallet jack unloading; support other local accounts 2–3 days per week
