Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Grocery Driver to deliver fresh and frozen groceries on a dedicated local account with daily home time. Routes cover the Hudson Valley, Long Island, NYC area, CT, NJ and PA within a 250-mile radius, with about 20–25% NYC freight and multi-stop loads typically 15+ stops per week.

Expect 2 loads per day or one longer load, mostly no-touch freight, and occasional pallet jack unloading. NYC training is required before operating NYC routes.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 3 months verifiable CDL-A experience.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• No SAP drivers on this account.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to assist with pallet jack unloading when assigned.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries in 48–53 ft reefers to supermarkets and distribution centers.
• Service routes within approximately 250 miles, including NYC, Hudson Valley, Long Island, NJ, CT and PA backhauls.
• Complete multi-stop loads, typically 15+ stops per week.
• Mostly no-touch freight with occasional pallet jack unloading.
• New drivers must complete NYC training and will not run NYC routes until 6 months on the account.
