Job summary

Thompson Pipe Group in Rialto, CA is seeking a Local CDL-A Flatbed Tractor–Trailer Operator to serve nearby job sites and deliver reinforced concrete pipe. The role is Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays, home daily, and involves maintaining logs, performing pre/post-trip inspections, and complying with ICC/DOT rules.

You should have a CDL-A with at least 3 years of flatbed experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years Class A CDL experience.
• 2–5 years flatbed experience preferred.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass background, MVR, drug test, and DOT physical.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• Current CDL license required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver reinforced concrete pipe to local job sites.
• Match orders to shipment paperwork and confirm accuracy.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections; report safety/mechanical issues.
• Maintain ELD and paper records for drive/rest periods, mileage, and receipts.
• Follow ICC/DOT rules for size, weight, routing, parking, and breaks.
• Safely position for loading and unloading.
• Receive, collect, and verify delivery instructions.
• Report any defects, accidents, or violations immediately.
