Kloeckner Metals Corporation is hiring a local full-time Driver responsible for the safe, efficient transportation of steel service center products under the direction of the Traffic Manager. The role emphasizes safe driving, proper loading, and adherence to DOT requirements to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Age at least 21 years old.
• CDL with proper endorsements.
• Safe driving record.
• Must pass DOT physical exam and drug test; subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
• Minimum of 6 months verifiable experience driving Class A vehicles. Drivers with 6 months but less than 2 years must complete the "Gearing Up" program before driving alone.

Responsibilities

• Transport steel service center products safely and efficiently as directed by the Traffic Manager.
• Ensure loading, weight distribution, and load security prior to transport.
• Unloading preparation and supervision at the destination.
• Maintain CDL compliance and adhere to state/national regulations.
• Report any incidents to the Traffic Manager and authorities.
• Support company safety and customer service standards.
