Kloeckner Metals - Americas is seeking a local CDL-A driver responsible for safe, efficient transport of steel service center products. You will be home nightly, with responsibilities including loading, securing cargo, and complying with regulatory requirements. A clean driving record and DOT compliance are essential, along with 6 months of verifiable Class A driving experience and the Gearing Up program if needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Age 21 or older at hire.
• CDL with proper endorsements.
• Clean driving record.
• Must pass DOT physical and drug test; random testing.
• Minimum 6 months verifiable Class A driving experience; Gearing Up if 6–<2 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate and transport steel service center products safely and efficiently as directed by Traffic Manager.
• Maintain compliance with CDL requirements and state/federal regulations.
• Load products securely and ensure proper weight distribution.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle condition and cleanliness.
• Protect cargo from weather and damage during transit.
• Communicate professionally with customers and officials; report incidents promptly.
