Averitt Express is hiring a CDL-A Dedicated Local Truck Driver in the Greensboro, NC area. You will drive locally, delivering building materials like drywall and lumber within a 300-mile radius, with a Monday to Friday schedule and no weekend work.

Starting pay is based on a per-mile rate with an average weekly pay around $1,250 and annual potential of about $65,000. Paid training is available if required, with potential for overtime, detention, and breakdown pay where applicable.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license required.
• 6–11 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience within past 2 years or 1 year within past 5 years for paid training.

Responsibilities

• Load freight (up to 80 lbs) and unload freight (up to 80 lbs).
• Drive and deliver within a 300‑mile radius from Greensboro, NC.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and complete delivery receipts.
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance and adhere to a 2:00–6:30 a.m. start window.
