Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking CDL drivers to operate straight trucks and occasional tractor-trailer moves. You’ll be home daily with consistent schedules and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• 6 months of CDL Class A experience operating the same type of equipment or larger in the last 3 years.
• Current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Current CDL Class A license is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a straight truck and, occasionally, a 53-ft tractor-trailer within site and on public roads.
• Inspect tractor/yard truck before and after shifts; maintain tractor/trailer housekeeping.
• Load and unload freight and supplies; assist in loading/unloading as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain safe driving practices.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Primarily operate a straight truck, with occasional operation of a 53-ft tractor-trailer, in and around the site and on public roads
• Inspect tractor/yard truck before and after the shift
• Maneuver tractor/trailer safely throughout the facility within the designated lanes and areas
• Maintain housekeeping within assigned tractor/trailer and defined areas
• Inspect trailers to be moved to verify condition
• Load and unload freight and supplies or assist in loading and unloading the truck
• Work safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) class A experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• A current valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
• A current valid CDL class A

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
