Position Summary

Merchandisers work in local stores to keep Coca-Cola products fully stocked on the shelves. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining product availability and merchandising products at all designated accounts.

Position Responsibilities
  1. Maintain product in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by identifying replenishment needs; transport product between backroom and display floor with manual equipment (e.g., pallet jack, handtruck); replenish, face, and rotate product; build, change, and take down product displays; maintain product signage; clean product space; and secure damaged or defective product.
  2. Manage backroom by organizing and consolidating backstock (product).
  3. Identify, monitor, and report backstock inventory levels.
  4. Evaluate and process damaged or defective product.
  5. Re-pack product.
  6. Organize backroom materials (e.g., pallets, product shells).
  7. Operate powered equipment (e.g., straddle stacker, powered pallet jack) and manual equipment (e.g., pallet jack).
  8. Complete store documentation.
  9. Maintain areas of responsibility in designated accounts by communicating status and concerns to store and company personnel.
  10. Identify and report unsafe working conditions.
  11. Attend and complete company training and certifications; follow company and store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety.
  12. Follow applicable local, state, and federal laws.
  13. Utilize a mobile device to complete work activities.
  14. Operate a motor vehicle.
  15. Provide customer service to consumers and store personnel by resolving concerns, answering questions, locating products, and assisting as needed.
  16. Perform other projects or duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or meet minimum state legal age requirements.
  • Six (6) months of work experience in relevant environments (e.g., distribution warehouse, construction, grocery, healthcare, etc.) involving heavy lifting.
  • Reliable automobile transportation, valid driver license, acceptable driving record, and auto insurance coverage.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 lbs regularly.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and background check.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Beverage industry experience.
  • Customer service and problem-solving experience.
  • One year of experience with manual or powered pallet jacks.
  • Straddle stacker and powered pallet jack certifications.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, and manipulating objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for at least 6 hours and walk at least 4 miles during shift.
  • Ability to operate manual transport equipment over 100 yards.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
