Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation in Portland, ME is seeking a CDL-A driver to deliver freight with flatbed and curtain side trailers. You will securely strap loads, ensure accurate and timely deliveries, and manage delivery paperwork with DOT-compliant logs.

You’ll work a first shift and be home daily, enjoying a comprehensive benefits package including medical/dental/vision, life insurance, 401(k), PTO and holiday pay, plus tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 12 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Safe Driving Record and ability to secure loads.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping - ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required
