Oak Harbor Freight Lines, Inc. is seeking a CDL Class A Truck Driver for local Pick-Up & Delivery across the regional network. You will operate equipment, ensure safe freight handling, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining accurate paperwork.

The role requires availability for various shifts and travel to nearby terminals, with home nightly schedules. Qualified candidates have at least one year of CDL driving, a clean record, valid DOT medical card, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Hold a Class A CDL.
• At least one year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Valid DOT Medical Certification.
• Must have a clean driving record with no DUI, reckless driving, or positive drug/alcohol screen in 3 years.
• Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and dispatch/managers.
• Basic English reading, writing and verbal communication.

Responsabilités

• Operate equipment and move freight safely using forklift, pallet jack, or hand truck.
• Record discrepancies in shipment counts or conditions to minimize cargo claims.
• Make multiple deliveries while providing high levels of customer service.
• Maintain information on electronic devices and complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Manage bills of lading, delivery receipts, trailer manifests and hazardous material procedures.
• Make decisions to maximize efficiency while meeting customer expectations.
• Remain dependable and able to travel to nearby terminals as needed.
• Adapt to varying shifts and weather conditions as required.
