Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment to customers safely and on time. You will be a company ambassador, handling loads and interacting with customers, and you’ll be home every night since we’re local.

The role requires a valid CDL-A, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 2 years of DOT-regulated driving experience, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service. Competitive compensation and benefits accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Diligent attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ('low boys') per CDL-A.
• Adhere to all safety requirements and FMCSR regulations.
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
