Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment to customers, ensuring safety, timeliness, and courteous service. You will be the company ambassador, interact with customers, and be home every night due to a local route.

Responsibilities include drop-offs/pickups, pre-trip inspections, and maintaining logs. Must have CDL A, a high school diploma or GED, and 2+ years of DOT driving experience, with a focus on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL as a prerequisite for the role.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT-regulated commercial driving experience.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Diligent attention to safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver equipment to customers in a timely, safe and courteous manner.
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers, per CDL-A rules.
• Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Adhere to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and company policies.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
