Job summary

Salt City Trucking in Chicago is seeking a CDL-A Target Driver for local routes with home daily time. You will deliver retail freight on consistent local runs using automatic trucks and mostly drop-and-hook freight.

The role requires a minimum of 3 months’ experience, a clean driving record, and a DOT medical card. Night shifts and a six-day workweek with a 34-hour reset are standard; pallet-jack unloading is occasional but paid.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of truck driving experience
• Reliable transportation for daily commuting
• Ability to work a six-day schedule and night shifts
• Ability to perform occasional pallet-jack unloading
• No SAP drivers
• Clean driving record
• DOT Medical card

Responsibilities

• Deliver retail freight on local routes in the Chicago area.
• Longest round trip is approximately 91 miles.
• Complete a minimum of two loads per day.
• Approximately 95% drop-and-hook freight.
• Approximately 5% of deliveries require pallet-jack unloading.
• Pallet-jack unloading is paid.
