Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment to customers safely and on time. As a local role, you’ll be home every night and act as a trusted company ambassador with strong customer service.

You will operate trucks and trailers, maintain logs and pre-trip inspections, and suggest additional equipment while upholding safety standards and DOT regulations. The position offers competitive benefits and opportunities for career development and overtime where available.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
• Diligent attention to safety

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers (CDL-A)
• Adhere to all safety requirements, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
• Other duties assigned as needed
